Greek club 11/19/09
in this class we learned the second declension in Greek. like the previous declension (first) the pattern is relatively the same when it comes to writing each form of the verb. again, this part of learning greek is difficult to memorize, but after i have done that, i should have no problem recognizing the form when it is in a passage.
thanksginving turkey program
for the turkey program, Eric, Nathan and i had raised enough money from out advisory and took it upon ourselves to purchase the turkey goods. after school on Friday, we drove over to the market ourselves to buy the goods. after we had gotten all the items, the three of us brought the food items back to the school where they were kept to be delivered on monday.
i feel that i had learned a good amount about initiating activities through this opportunity. by undertaking this with two other students, i feel that i have learned to lead properly and to follow closely. i also learned how to cooperate with others better than i have before on organizing the program. along with the cooperation, i learned how to take initiative. since this was something that no one really wanted to take charge of, Eric, Nathan and I decided to do it and from there we organized it ourselves and completed the program, gathering the largest amount of food for the program from our school.

greek club 11/5/09
this week in Greek club, we had just learned new words which are useful in the curriculum we are being taught. at this point in the club, i have memorized almost all of the pronunciations and symbols that accompany the Greek language. even though that class was small, which meant that there wasn't much to teach, i still have progressed to the point were i do not need to view a pronunciation sheet. however, i am still struggling on understanding meaning but i an getting there.
